Kim's insurance career began in 1978. Since 1985 she has specialized in working closely with professional firms to design insurance and risk management programs to meet their unique needs.
In 1988, Kim was a founding principal and helped establish Professional Concepts Insurance Agency, Inc. (PCIA). Through Kim's leadership and management, PCIA has grown to serve a clientele of over 1000 professional firms.
Kim is a past member of the ACEC MI Risk Management Committee. She currently serves on the AIA Michigan Summer Conference Committee. In 2004, the Society of Marketing Design Professional Services (SMPS)-Michigan announced the selection of Kim Fricke as a member of its Board of Influence. In 2003, AIA Michigan honored Kim by naming her an Honorary Affiliate member. Kim is a past President and member of the national association Professional Liability Agents Network (PLAN) an association dedicated to the risk management needs of design professional firms. On behalf of her clients and industry groups Kim participates on a regular basis in the facilitation of contract and engagement letter negotiations.
She has been invited to give numerous speeches and seminars for various professional associations and has taught risk management on an ad hoc basis at major universities in Michigan. Various industry publications have requested interviews, published written articles, and have frequently quoted Kim's comments and recommendations on specific industry issues, i.e., professional liability - including team project professional liability, design/build, partnering, dispute resolution and general business advice.
Kim is married to Cody Young and they enjoy showing their cutting horses in their spare time.
Mike represents many of PCIA's largest clients, providing risk management consultation, educational seminars, and contract reviews from an insurability and risk management standpoint. Mike serves the professional associations of his clients by donating his time and expertise when and where needed. Mike has served as Co-Chair and Chair of the Engineering Excellence Awards committee for ACEC/MI and MSPE. He is also the Vice Chair of the Risk Management Committee for ACEC/MI, and a member of the AIA Membership committee. Mike has also served as Treasurer for the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) MI.
Mike began his insurance career with PCIA in 1990 as a summer intern. A graduate of Olivet College, Mike received his B.A. in Business with an Insurance concentration. At Olivet College he studied risk management and insurance techniques, specializing in commercial property and liability coverage.
Mike has a beautiful bride, Allison Marie Cosgrove.Allison is an elementary school teacher. Mike and Allison were blessed with the birth of their daughters, Kennedy Paige in 2003 and Sophia Elizabeth in 2008. The family enjoys spending their spare time living in Livingston County
Julie brings over fifteen years of diverse insurance experience to PCIA, including customer service, sales, underwriting, rating and service expertise from prior positions with two major insurance companies.
Julie earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University. She is a licensed Property and Casualty agent in several states PCIA serves. She has also earned her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Associate in Insurance Services (AIS) designations.
Julie enjoys spending time with her husband Corey and two children. In her spare time, she and her family enjoy camping and traveling.
Amy is part of the benefits team at PCIA and coordinates all aspects of the benefit process from sales and marketing, to implementation and conclusion on all size employer groups. She has knowledge and experience in areas of the fully insured and voluntary benefits market and a solid understanding of the value these products provide to our customers.
Amy has experience both in the broker and agency setting in various roles including Client Services and Marketing and Community Relations, and most recently as part of the management team at a General Agency. Amy has served on several Boards of Directors including the Ann Arbor Chamber of Commerce and the Washtenaw Development Council.
Amy is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University and holds a CES (Certified Enrollment Specialist) designation as well as her Life, Accident and Health Insurance License in Michigan. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, and running in her spare time.
Greg Kirchmeier consults with physicians, surgeons, hospitals, long-term care facilities and numerous other healthcare providers for their insurance and risk management needs. Greg provides 15 years experience in the medical field.
Previously, Greg served the highly competitive pharmaceutical industry. He has a vast knowledge of the needs and ever-increasing concerns facing today’s healthcare providers. He has worked very closely with physicians, pharmacists, practice managers and long-term care facilities in multiple states across the Midwest. He has built solid relationships with various specialties including Family Practice, Internal Medicine, OB/GYN, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Rheumatology and Dermatology.
Greg earned his B.S. degree in Engineering from Michigan State University and his MBA in Finance from Webster University in St. Louis, MO.
Greg and his wife Patty, along with their three children, Ellen, Paul and Maggie, live in Brighton. Greg enjoys time spent with his family as well as golfing, reading, trout fishing, water and snow skiing and sailing.
Robert Vozza earned his Bachelor degree from the University of Michigan in 1993 and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2000. He practiced law throughout Michigan with Garan Lucow Miller, P.C. and Kaufman Payton and Chapa, P.C. for nine years prior to joining PCIA. His primary areas of focus as an attorney were in risk management and insurance defense.
Robert is uniquely suited to serve the legal and accounting professional industry on behalf of PCIA.
Robert hails from Traverse City and is an avid sports fan. His personal interests include travel, technology, movies, literature and music. He is an active member of the State Bar of Michigan.
Doris began her insurance career in 1974, with her family agency in Dowagiac, Michigan. After graduating from high school, she obtained her agent's license in Property & Casualty and Life & Health, earned her degree in accounting from Southwestern Michigan College and then a business degree from Michigan State University. From college, she worked in California with an agency in Beverly Hills. While California was great, Doris moved back to Michigan in1985 to continue with her family agency, Dixon-Livingston Insurance. In 2001, she was elected President for the State of Michigan's Business and Professional Women's organization. In 2008, Doris continued her education by receiving her AAI (Accredited Advisor in Insurance) designation.
Doris has a unique and very successful ability to build relationships with clients. She provides the insurance expertise they need which equates to peace of mind for those she serves. She is dedicated to her profession, her family and enjoys life with love and laughter.
Donna serves many of PCIA's largest clients by providing for the day-to-day professional liability servicing needs. Donna reviews contracts for insurance coverage and insurability issues. She works with insurance company underwriters to obtain renewal terms and coverage offered.
Donna also services PCIA's staff arranging for educational trainings and insurance company visits with underwriters
Donna graduated from Western Michigan University in 2000. After graduation Donna began her insurance career. She joined PCIA in 2007.
Donna likes to spend her non-working hours with her family. She is also active in serving local charities.
Melissa has been in the insurance industry for over 8 years, with a diverse background in customer service, rating, sales, and marketing. She has held past positions in Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, and Group Benefits.
Melissa has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and English from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. She is licensed by the State of Michigan in Property & Casualty Insurance and Health & Life Insurance. She is currently pursuing the Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) Designation.
Melissa resides in Wixom, Michigan with her significant other, Michael. In her spare time, she enjoys biking, fishing, playing poker, reading, cooking, and spending time with family & friends.
Julie began her Insurance career more than 30 years ago in the Detroit Metropolitan area assisting clients with major medical insurance needs. She relocated to the Chicago area, working for major insurance carrier for 21 years. Her background includes sales, service, claims processing, contract development and legal filings. Her recent involvement with voluntary and individual products brings a valuable perspective to our clients.
As part of the benefits team, Julie processes renewals and provides overall servicing to our existing clients in the small to mid-sized markets. Julie holds her Life, Accident & Health license in several different states, participated in both LOMA (Life Office Management) and HIAA (Health Insurance Assoc. of American) courses and brings knowledge and dedication to our agency. Her experience and ability to build relationships is an important part of our overall success and provides a welcomed asset to our benefits team.
Julie enjoys camping, traveling, outdoor recreation, music and spending time with her three children & husband of 24 years.
Krista is an Account Manager for Business Coverages. She earned a Bachelors of Science degree from Kent State University specializing in Finance and Marketing. Krista maintains her Property and Casualty as well as Life and Health insurance licenses. She has experience in customer service, sales, underwriting, rating, and risk management.
Krista is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is a devoted Steelers fan. Her personal interests include travel, sports, wine tasting, and playing with her dogs, Hines and Hunter.
Tracy has 7 years experience in commercial insurance, and specialized in aviation prior to joining PCIA. She is a licensed Property & Casualty agent and earned her Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation in 2005. Tracy assists PCIA's clients with their business insurance needs.
Her personal interests are reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Leah is a licensed Property and Casualty agent. She assists CPAs and Attorneys with their professional liability insurance.
Leah is married and has 2 sons. They enjoy as a family, skiing, boating, traveling, movies and family outings.
Barb Wasalaski has over 15 years experience in an independent insurance agency setting. Barb has many years experience in the accounting field with working in public accounting firms and also in private firms. Barb will be handling all of our day-to-day accounting for our clients and PCIA.
Barb is a graduate of Lake Superior State University. She has been married to her husband Rick for over 20 years and they have one grown son, Matt. In their leisure time they enjoy camping, hiking, geocaching and spending time with their son and three Labradors
