I Didn’t Plan on Going Into Insurance
If I’m being honest, this wasn’t the career path I mapped out from the beginning.
Like a lot of people, I thought I’d be here temporarily. A stepping stone. A phase.
But over time, what started as a job turned into something much more meaningful.
I began to understand the impact this work can have.
It’s About More Than Policies
At first, insurance can look transactional. Policies, renewals, paperwork. But when you stay in it long enough — and you work closely with professional service firms — you realize it’s not about the paperwork.
It’s about protecting livelihoods.
It’s about helping an architect safeguard years of work.
It’s about helping an accounting firm navigate a difficult claim.
It’s about advising a law firm through a complex contract requirement.
It’s about giving business owners peace of mind so they can focus on what they do best.
That’s when it stopped feeling temporary.
It started feeling purposeful.
Building Something That Lasts
Over the years, I also realized I wasn’t just building a career — I was helping build something that could last beyond me.
At PCIA, we’re focused on long-term relationships, thoughtful guidance, and serving firms that are building communities and industries.
That kind of work carries responsibility. And responsibility creates meaning.
The Path You Didn’t Expect
One thing life has taught me is this:
Sometimes the path you didn’t expect is the one that fits you best.
Growth doesn’t always follow a straight line. Careers don’t either.
But if you commit, learn, stay curious, and focus on serving others well, the work becomes more than a job.
It becomes something you’re proud to stand behind.
And looking back, I wouldn’t change the path that brought me here.
